Mapping the Unseen Autistic Family System:
Making Space for Recognition, Healing, and Neurodivergent Legacy
Unmasked Lineage is a call to embrace a new paradigm—one that acknowledges the invisible wounds within unidentified autistic family systems. It’s about shifting away from traditional frameworks that were not designed for us and don’t fully capture our experiences.
If you’re autistic and noticing painful patterns in your family tree that feel hidden or misunderstood, you might sense something deeper at play—something that traditional mental health or trauma theories don’t fully capture.
Though these patterns are impacting you profoundly, there is little academic literature or research to support what you’re experiencing. This project aims to give voice to those hidden narratives and begin mapping what has long been buried.
With a combination of clinical insights, lived experience, and pattern recognition, I aim to reveal the often unseen intergenerational wounds of masking, disconnection, and unspoken histories that shape autistic families.
By recognizing and illuminating these patterns, we can begin to create a legacy of healing for future generations of neurodivergent families. Join me in this journey to reshape how we understand autistic family systems.
